International Wedding Guild is totally committed to protect the information supplied by brides & grooms and planners who register with us.

We obtain your information in a number of ways, this could be collected at one of the many wedding fairs we attend or from online registration on our website from web search, online surveys, competitions, advertising and recommendation.

The personal information we collect includes your name, address, email contact telephone numbers as supplied, scheduled wedding date and venue and your wedding requirements.

This information is then carefully collated and assigned to selected professional members of the guild who have been personally interviewed by the directors and or senior wedding executives of  wedding guild and have been approved to become a member of International wedding guild.

Member companies offer services to the wedding industry and are thoroughly checked prior to becoming a member so as to ensure they offer a professional service to the brides requirements.

The information supplied by yourself is allocated to those members who offer services that match your requirements and those members are then supplied with your preferred contact details to make contact with you directly. You are then able to select who you wish to make contact with and discuss your wedding requirements. Some members will initially contact you by email and some will make contact with you by phone.

Brides have 3 ways to make contact with Guild Member companies

1. Voluntary On-line bride registration
2. Completion of Brides questionnaire at a Wedding Fair
3. Directly seek out a Guild Member from our website directory of services

When you use either 1 or 2 you agree to receive contact directly from any of the guilds members that match your wedding requirements.

Your Privacy Rights
Under the terms of the data protection act which Wedding Guild is a member your privacy rights are protected.
At any time you can opt out wedding guilds registration service and have your information removed from our database by sending an email to enquiries@weddingguild.co.uk which can be found on the “contact us” page of www.weddingguild.co.uk.

If at any time you feel you have been pressured by any member of the guild you must contact the directors of the guild by telephone or by email  at enquiries@weddingguild.co.
 

We do not support or encourage any guild member who may participate in an inappropriate manner on the contrary we demand that all wedding guild members agree to and abide to a strict code of ethics as part of their membership contractual requirements. If you feel that any member has not fulfilled their obligations to you then you MUST in the first instance complain to the company directly and deal with them. International wedding Guild can not become involved in any way with any disputes you may have.

Should wedding guild contact you there is always an opportunity for you to respond to either remove your information so that you do not receive any further communications from either the wedding guild or its members.

Under the data protection act 1988, there may be a nominal charge for this information and any reply from Wedding Guild MUST take place within 5 weeks from receipt of your request. In practice we will normally reply within 7 days.

We offer a bridal forum on the website www.weddingguild.co.uk and as such you may ‘post’ notices on our forum for other brides or member companies to read and respond to. Please do not ‘post’ personal details on the forum notice boards such as emails or telephone numbers. As this information could be acquired by non guild members who will then contact you without your permission and this may threaten your privacy and security.

Wedding guild can not control or monitor any forum chat communications you may have and we would ask you to contact the guild by email or by phone if at any time you feel that any communication was discrediting the site or the guild or was in any way unacceptable to you or maybe to others. We will do our utmost to deal with any such intrusion or complaint and to ensure measures are put in place to prevent a further occurrence.

Wedding Guild can not be held responsible to the privacy and the accuracy of any links provided on this website and it is therefore the sole responsibility of the viewer, user to thoroughly check the privacy statement of any site accessed from any link on this website prior to entering any personal information.

Wedding Guild reserves the right to contact you to ask if you are prepared to participate in a satisfaction questionnaire or to make comments about the services we provide to Brides. We may also make contact with you with regard to any competitions you may have entered or any promotions we are offering.

Sharing your Information
Wedding Guild will not at any time rent or trade your personal information to a third party outside of the paid up members of the wedding guild. We will only pass on your wedding requirements and supplied contact details to members of the guild that match your requirements and requests regarding your proposed wedding.

In the unlikely event of the sale or transfer of the wedding guild business we will provide you the right to remove your personal details prior to any such transfer taking place which will mean that any new organisation will not be able to offer you any services or make contact with you even though we feel they have a service to you.

Wedding Guild may be obliged to pass on your personal information as required by law, court order or other government authority as requested in the pursuance of any criminal investigation. Prior to passing on any such information the Directors of the Wedding Guild will seek appropriate legal advice to protect both your privacy and the members of the guild.

Wedding Guild Monitors traffic to our website, which pages are viewed and how visitors navigate our site.  This data is automatically recorded by the Visitors browsers and the use of cookies and your pc IP address and standard website statistics software as offered by website hosting companies. This information is only used for internal purposes of the Guild so as to enhance and make improvements to its website. This recording of general statistics does not include any personal information about you. We aim to provide a service of improvement which will include the use of some of this statistics so as to provide a service of enhancement which may require us to contact you to ask for your assistance and advice in how we may improve the overall performance of the website to give you more of what you want and less of what you don’t.
