Choosing the right church for your wedding is one of the most crucial decisions you will ever make. Not only will you be married inside at the church chapel, but you will also be photographed on its grounds, so it is imperative that you make your decision wisely.

Most churches stipulate that you must attend beforehand so you become familiar to the reverend and church itself. This is normally at least once a month for six months minimum, but you should contact your chosen church beforehand as this does vary from place to place.

You should make your decision based on a number of factors, including distance from your home (remember you would normally be expected to attend the church regularly beforehand) and the size of the church (which depends upon how many guests you wish to be there). Do not rush this process, take your time and look around, and then contact the church to make a provisional booking. This should be done at least a year before you plan to get married.
