This week things seem to have gone quiet on the celebrity wedding front, so I thought for a change I would bring you some much-needed wedding tips that couples planning their special day can follow. Here’s a few for starters. Do you have any tips of your own that you can share?

Pick reliable bridesmaids and best men – Speaks for itself really. When choosing who to be your bridesmaids and best man, opt for the safe option and go for the most reliable friends you have. You don’t want anybody losing the ring at the last minute!

Entrust others – You friends and family want your wedding day to be a success, and they are always there to help. Be as open as possible with your planning, and see if they can offer any advice or even to lend a hand with preparing your dress, cake, invitations or photography. You never know, they may be able to save you hundreds of pounds; all you need to do is ask!

Get organised – You can never plan enough, and by meticulously working from lists and check boxes, you will ensure you don’t miss out on anything important.

Keep an eye on money – Do not overspend and make sure you budget correctly. Remember, you can still have a fantastic day without breaking the bank. Make sure you know your limits!

And lastly…

Don’t panic – Your wedding day is supposed to be the happiest day of your life, so don’t let yourself become stressed. Relax, take your time and let others help you and your day will go smoothly without any problems.
